What is a Lambda Sensor?

Sometimes called car oxygen sensors, lambda sensors are a part of your vehicle's exhaust system. They work by measuring the amount of air and fuel in the unburnt hydrocarbons after the combustion. This information is then fed back to the ECU, which adjusts the amount of fuel so that only the required amount is used.
